Job Description
e are seeking dedicated and compassionate Nurses and Caregivers to join our growing team. The ideal candidates will provide personalized, high-quality care to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and administer medications as prescribed (nurses only).
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or environment.
- Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the best care plans.
- Adhere to AMUMA Home Health’s mission and values in all interactions.
Qualifications
For Nurses:
- Active RN or LPN license in Alberta.
- Experience in geriatric care or community health is an asset.
For Caregivers:
- Certification in Health Care Aide (HCA), Community Support Diploma (CSW) or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience in home care or caregiving is an asset but not mandatory—training will be provided for the right candidates.
General Requirements
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude.
